Celebrate Diversity and Support Hospice Care at the Mayor’s Lunar New Year 2025
Prince George, BC – Mayor Simon Yu, Momo Yu, and the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society (PGHPCS) warmly invite you to join them for a spectacular evening of celebration, community, and compassion. Join us as we welcome the Year of the Snake while raising much-needed funds for vital hospice care.
Mayor Yu and his wife Momo are proud to co-host this special event that brings together local leaders, businesses, and residents to honor the rich traditions of Lunar New Year. The celebration will take place on February 1st, 2025, at the Prestige Hotel Ballroom. Doors open at 6:00 PM, followed by dinner at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available for $125 each.
The evening will highlight a multi-course dinner, captivating cultural performances, and engaging presentations that showcase the vibrant heritage of the Mayor’s culture. Most importantly, this event will support the PG Hospice Home Hospice program, an essential community service that depends entirely on donations and fundraising efforts.
About the Home Hospice Program The Home Hospice program allows individuals to remain in the comfort of their own homes, surrounded by loved ones, while receiving compassionate, dignified end of life care with 24 hour support from a team of expert nurses. It is the first program in Canada, introduced in 2023.
Tickets can be purchased online at pghpcs.ca or in person at the Solace Centre, 1506 Ferry Avenue.
Join us for an inspiring evening that celebrates the strength of diversity and the power of compassion. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those in need.
