The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society is sharing the news that Executive Director Donna Flood will be retiring, ending an incredible career in healthcare leadership. Her expected date of retirement is August 28th, 2026

Donna has been a guiding force for Hospice, helping the organization grow, evolve, and reach more people across our community. During her time as Executive Director, hospice care expanded beyond the house to include support for people in their homes and throughout the region — ensuring more individuals and families could access compassionate care when they need it most.

“Donna has made a lasting difference in our community,” said Rod Holmes President of Board of Directors. “Her leadership, heart, and vision have shaped who we are today and how we care for people and families.”

With more than 44 years in healthcare, Donna brought deep experience, insight, and compassion to her role. She has always been a strong advocate for dignity, comfort, and support at end of life, and for the families walking alongside their loved ones.

Reflecting on her time with Hospice, Donna shared, “It has truly been an honour to be part of this community. I am so grateful to the staff, volunteers, and supporters who make this work possible every day.”

The Board of Directors will begin the process of finding new leadership in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.

The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society extends heartfelt thanks to Donna for her dedication and leadership and wishes her all the very best in her retirement.
